Im Sommer 1996 liebte ich den Song wirklich. Erinnert mich immer an die Kiefernwälder Nordkaliforniens und den besten Urlaub meines Lebens. Der Song kam damals öfters im Radio, aber nicht so oft, dass es verleidet wäre, wie z.B. bei Alanis Morissette. Toller locker-flockiger Song, kommt aber nicht ganz an "Layla" ran. Schön.

Gefällt mir einiges besser als die Akkustik Version von "Layla". Momentan ist dieser Song in meiner persönlichen Hitparade vertreten.
Ein sehr schöner Song von Eric Clapton! Seine Stimme ist immer noch toll und der Sound stimmt auch.

Nein, mehr geht echt nicht. Leider einer der am öftesten im Radio gespielten Titel von ihm, und zugleich einer der nervigsten. Guter Text, schlechte musikalische und gesangliche Umsetzung.
Lieber die Version von Wynonna, wobei der Song an sich leider langweilig ist.

Schöner und ruhiger Song: Aufgerundet 5*.
Gut gemeint, aber war mir stets viel zu anstrengend.
Die absolute vertonte Einöde, vor allem der offensichtliche Versuch des Produzenten Babyface, Clapton ein wenig in diese R&B-Soul-Jammerschiene zu schubsen, ist total in die Hose gegangen.

Da ziehe ich den Clapton der 70 er Jahre aber bei weitem
Clapton halte ich eigentlich für massiv overrated, dann und wann hat er aber schon einen tollen Song rausgehauen. So zum Beispiel diese Schnulze aus 1996 (meinem musikalischen Lieblingsjahr). Seeehr schön und knapp am totalen Kitsch vorbeigeschrammt.

In den 90er Jahren hatte es Eric Clapton immer wieder geschafft mit diversen Songs auch in den deutschen Singlecharts aufzutauchen. Dieser Song aus dem Jahr 1996 ist ein ruhiges, schön anzuhörendes Lied, das ideal fürs Radio geschaffen ist und wahrscheinlich auch deshalb ein mittlerer Charterfolg wurde.

Mir etwas zu lässig!
Formatradio-Sound pur von anno 1996, aber immerhin von Altmeister Eric Clapton. Keine schlechte Musik, und ich runde folglich auf. Vier Sterne gebe ich!
Ab da war Clapton für mich eigentlich gestorben.
